RESEARCH FOR EARLY STAGE DIAGNOSIS

Goal

GOAL

Isolate exosomes from stomach tissue, plasma and saliva of multiple healthy people and GC patients to verify that this method can be used to diagnose early stage GC patients

Problem

PROBLEM

Conventional isolation methods could not isolate large quantity samples of different types with consistent and repeatable result for diagnosis

What we do

WHAT WE DID

• Isolate a total of 60 samples (20 plasma, 20 Saliva, 20 Tissue)
• Evaluated the concentration of the isolated EVs to assist OSU’s research effort

Sample type: Plasma, Saliva, and Tissue

Case Study

03

Results

Results

exRNA single-EV analysis detected significant differences in the expression levels of miR-A and miR-B gastric cancer biomarkers for all three biofluids. This workflow is promising to be used for clinical diagnosis and tracking the stage of gastric cancer
